Conservatory: stratigraphic studies and drilling
The first tests necessary to start the study phase of the renovation and restoration of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels began on 22 February. They involve the inspection of the floors, ceilings, façades and foundations of the buildings that make up the site, as well as stratigraphic studies that analyse the layers of the painted decorations.
These tests, which are essential to a proper understanding of the condition and composition of the existing buildings, will take place until June 2019.
