Planning permission application for the Brussels Conservatory
After four years of intense studies by Beliris and the design offices Origin-A2RC-FVWWarchitecten, in close collaboration with its partners CRB and KCB, the planning permission application for the restoration of the Brussels Conservatory was submitted to the Brussels Capital Region. This application has three steps:
- Urban.brussels checks that the file is complete. Then it analyses the application, including the opinions of various administrations such as the emergency services, the Royal Commission for Monuments and Sites, etc.
- The City of Brussels holds the public inquiry and the consultation commission in charge of giving an opinion on the file at the end of the public session.
- Urban.brussels decides whether to grant permission (with or without conditions) or refuse it.
Taking into account the time needed for the enquiry, a decision by urban.brussels is expected in autumn 2023. In the meantime, studies to refine the project are continuing.
