Schuman : works on esplanade
From July 22th, a new phase of roadworks will begin on the esplanade, i.e. the area between the Justus Lipsius building and the Berlaymont, between the entrance to the tunnel and Schuman roundabout.
This will complement the works currently underway on the Rue de la Loi, between Parc de la Vallée du Maelbeek and Boulevard Charlemagne.
From June 29th, traffic on Avenue de la Joyeuse Entrée will again be possible in both directions.
Planned works on the esplanade
- Roadworks
- Planting trees
- Installation of benches and bicycle racks
- Dismantling the artwork. The artwork will be moved to a storage area for the duration of the works. It will then be installed in the rue de la Loi.
The works are estimated to last till the end of December 2024.
